WARREN TOWNSHIP DEMOCRATS
You may not be familiar with the Warren Township Democrats, but we are an organization that is
in the forefront of creating changes in how local and national issues are handled by our
government. I am sure that you have noticed that things are not going the way the majority of
Americans would like.  We have been in a war that is costing our nation not just fiscally, but costs
us dearly with the lives of our loved ones.  The costs for gasoline and natural gas are soaring
higher and higher with no end in sight. And where are the tax breaks that could help us in this
difficult time?  They are going to the top 1% of our nation’s richest citizens.

Government runs better when there is a two-party system, but at the Federal level, we have one
party running the country.  At the State level, we have issues that must be dealt with, including
Education,Health Care, and Transportation.  We have wonderful candidates running for offices at
each level and we work with them to achieve results.  Right now, you are probably asking yourself
what can I do to make a difference?  Well, we have an answer for you: JOIN US! We would like to
invite you to join us as a member of the Warren Township Democrats.

We began in 2004 as an organization of dedicated Precinct Committee Persons whose objective
was to create a voice and provide a choice in Lake County.  Since then, members of the Warren
Township Democrats have supported many election campaigns for Democratic candidates in
state, local, and federal elections.  We helped elect the first Democrat in the 8th Congressional
District in over 30 years, three Democratic State Representatives to the Illinois House of
Representatives, and the first M.D.to the office of Lake County Coroner since 1942.  However, we
have a long way to go because this November’s elections will come all too quickly and soon the
2008 Presidential Campaigns will begin.  We need your help and we need it NOW !

If you are wondering how you can help, or at least become involved, we have the answer.  You
could come to a meeting and learn more about what you can do to get involved and help all of the
people in your community.  Come to a meeting and we will give you a list of the things you can do
to get involved.
There are many ways to help and most won’t take up much of your time.

We look forward to meeting you, so why not join us at one of our meetings?  We meet at 7:00 P.M.
at the Warren-Newport Library, 224 N. O’Plaine Road, in Gurnee, on the 4th Thursday of each
month.
If you have any questions, please call Jim Neel,  at (847) 223-0795.  Should you be
unable to attend, simply fill out the enclosed Warren Township Democrats questionnaire and
mail it to us.  Let’s meet and help chart the future for our country, our state, our township, our
villages, our cities, our schools, our parks, and our neighborhoods.

WARREN TOWNSHIP IS A STATE AND LOCAL PAC

In November 2005, Warren Township Democrats became a State and Local PAC
(Political Action Committee).  This provides us with the opportunity to collect funds
from donors for the purposes of advancing Democratic candidates who will
represent Warren Township residents in State or Local offices.  We are not able to
contribute to Federal elections as an organization.
